Level 2 NVQ in Wood Occupations (Carpenter)
You must already be working on site as a carpenter and have experience of working on first and second fix carpentry and using power tools. The NVQ will allow you to obtain your blue CSCS skilled worker card required by many clients across the UK.
You will have an initial discussion with your assessor about the evidence you need to collect on your particular site and how to build your portfolio of evidence.
You will have two site visits to your workplace and your assessor will help you collect and complete your portfolio of evidence.
You will need to demonstrate competence in the following units:
- Conforming to General Health, Safety and Welfare in the Workplace
- Conforming to Productive Working Practices in the Workplace.
- Moving, Handling and Storing resources in the Workplace
- Installing first fix components in the Workplace.
- Installing second fix components in the Workplace.
- Setting up and using transportable cutting and shaping machines in the workplace.

The fees can be paid in 3 instalments:
- Awarding body registration, discussion with assessor on portfolio collection and evidence collection and all
training materials. £295
