Level 3 NVQ in Occupational Work Supervision

You must already be working on site as a trade supervisor and have experience of supervising a team in the specific trade you are competent in, for example site carpentry, bricklaying or painting and decorating. Competence must be evidenced from a L2 NVQ in that trade or equivalent qualification, or employer reference. The L3 NVQ will allow you to obtain your Gold CSCS skilled worker card required by many clients across the UK.

You will have an initial discussion with your assessor about the evidence you need to collect on your site and how to build your portfolio of evidence.

You will have two site visits to your workplace and your assessor will help you collect and complete your portfolio of evidence.

You will need to demonstrate competence in the following units:

  • Confirming work activities and resources for an occupational work area in the workplace
  • Developing and maintaining good occupational working relationships in the workplace.
  • Confirming the occupational method of work in the workplace.
  • Implementing and maintaining health, safety, environmental and welfare practices in the workplace.
  • Co-ordinating and organising work operations in the workplace
  • Monitoring progress of work against schedules in the workplace.
